Sleep Well for Weight Loss!

Are you always worried that you are not able to reduce the fat level in your body? In that case, stop counting the calories and concentrate on counting the hours of your sleep.

Latest research has proved that disorderly sleeping brings about a serious disruption in the metabolic processes which increases our hunger and appetite. This makes it impossible for us to lose our weight.

Deficiency in sleep activates Cortisol, a hormone responsible for controlling the appetence to collect extra calories and keep them as additional fat. Also, sleep deficiency interrupts carbohydrate metabolic process leading to increase in the levels of blood glucose. This extra quantity boosts the excess creation of insulin, leading to fleshiness of the body.

Moreover, lesser sleep also enhances excess weight due to human’s inherent practice. Those who sleep less, are observed to lust for confectioneries (a product with very minimal nourishing value but high fats). In order to kill time, people also tend to resort to eating fast food and drinking cold drinks. All these results in generation of excess calories which are not required by the body. This results in body keeping it as an extra fat.

These fats gained so easily, are equally difficult to lose. When people are sleeping deficient, they do not exercise with high force and intensity. Usually, they feel very tired to do normal chores, leave alone exercising. Over a time, such excess calories that are not exhausted quickly get converted into fats.

It has been established that an average individual requires 8 hours of sleep every night in order to be completely fit to do routine chores and to exercise well. In spite of this fact, it has been found that only thirty percent of grown ups are able to get this amount of sleep on weeknights and about 52 % are successful in getting so, on weekends. A report also suggests that 1/3rd of the people sleep even less than six hours every night!
