How Negativism affects our Health.

In our search for a very healthy life, we have never bothered to appreciate the importance of our attitudes and moods on our physical health. A sad or depressed person is likely to be lot weaker and less healthy than the person who is cheerful and relaxed. A person who is much stressed is bound to leave a lot of negative effects on his physical health. Our body can cope with just a normal bit of negativity but when there is overdose of the same; our health begins to feel the desperation. These negative attitudes and moods can really play havoc and harm you from inside just as similar to a critical illness or disease. It affects our immunity making us more vulnerable to various dreadful attacks.

One typical thing is Depression. It has been noticed by professionals that people who fall prey to depression while ill are bound to recover very slowly and need longer time period to get fit. They even develop extra complications which further aggravate their problems. These people allow depression to govern them fully which in turn does not allow their body to heal quickly and thus turn everything against their will to live. Research has established the fact that people who get depressed after a heart attack are more prone to death roughly six months after the attack. Such people need urgent attention for medication and vital mental support.

Another major problem is that of loneliness. People living a lonely life and who do not socialize at all, are subjected to face the stress and struggle all….on their own. Friends and family support play a vital role in making things smoother than it appears and thereby helps in dealing with them more appropriately. We all need strong shoulders for support and good friendly ears to talk to; in our times of trouble….Talking to the dear ones about the problems helps us lighter the weight of our grief and depression. It is also better for lending our ears to other’s problems as well…since it helps you become compassionate and make you realize that our problems are not that big when compared to others.

To make matters worse, we all are living in trying times and whether we acknowledge it or not, our everyday life is full of stress dealing with heavy noises, very crowded places and tough competition from sub-ordinates. Rising expenses and bills add to our agony. In order to meet such costs, we take on high-salaried jobs that come with longer working periods. This further robs us of our vital relaxing time. Before we realize it, this continuous stressful environment plays havoc with our health, really bad and that too, very quickly.

In order to cope with such problems, it is important that you maintain some moderation and bring about little alteration in one’s lifestyle. It would be beneficial if you can reduce the intake of alcohol and coffee as well. Quit the habit of smoking completely…..or at least reduce the frequency……Instead of sitting in front of the television set, do take a half an hour walk outside. Develop the habit of listening to the music of your choice since it is known to be very good for mental relaxation. Do things that help you take your mind off the grief and troubles, like playing with children or reading a good book.Play with children

Always keep in mind that you are not a machine and there are excellent things which one needs to do to enjoy, and to live gracefully…
